GameStop May Be Shipping PS3 Slim Next Week
The new PlayStation 3 Slim won’t be arriving until September. But if you pre-order online with GameStop, it may be possible to have one as early as next Wednesday.
For those who pre-order the PS3 Slim online, GameStop is currently listing an August 25 shipping date (via Joystiq). That’s a bit earlier than September 1, so if you simply can’t wait, then this may be the perfect solution.
Sony announced the PS3 Slim on August 18 for $299. It is reportedly 33 percent smaller, and 36 percent lighter than the previous hardware model.
